A friend of mine had a baby a couple of months ago. In celebration of this cute little arrival I took over a couple of items for them a while back. One of the items was a half dozen fresh eggs from our chickens. I was sure to include a couple mini-eggs from Raisin, since this friend of mine has two other kiddos. Tiny fried eggs seem to be more fun for kids to eat, at least that is what Oscar has shown me. Anyhow, I left the gifts and went on my way. Fast forward to this past Thursday. This friend and her 3 kids came over to play at our house. Before leaving, after a morning of playing, my friend said to me,
"Hey, nice trick you tried to play on me."
"HUH?" I replied.
She continued to tell me about the morning she decided to fry up those cute little eggs for her oldest boys. She cracked the first one in to the pan with ease, and moved on to the next. The second egg was much stronger, and did not crack on the first whack. Or the second whack, or the third. Finally she realized that this egg was in fact, a hard boiled egg. She and her husband got a good chuckle out of the whole incident, and luckily her oldest son had no qualms with eating a mini hard-boiled egg as opposed to a mini fried one.
I laughed hard when she recounted this to me, completely unaware of the trick I had played.

Have you heard of the song: "I Had A Silly Chicken"? If not I need to share it with you. A total treat, I assure you! Anyway, this post goes well with said song.
This post makes me feel like a star.
