We had most of our family and friends here over Thanksgiving, so we blessed baby Ulysses at my parents home. Bryan gave him a very thoughtful and sweet blessing. It was nice to be together to celebrate this little boy! His little blessing outfit was one that I found in a giant box of hand me down clothes that a neighbor gave us 6 plus years ago when Oscar was born. It is a little creme crocheted body suit, and it was so precious. Here are a few pictures of our family from that day.
Oh! I am almost forgot. Before the blessing Bryan was helping cut up limes for the dessert table and he sliced his pointer finger to the bone. It never ever ever stopped bleeding. It just kept on dripping. So my brother Sam helped Bryan tape his finger tight with band aids and black electrical tape so he could bless Uly without getting him all bloody. About three hours later, the cut was still bleeding profusely so he went to the doc to get stitches. Oscar was super excited about going with him to watch. So he did, and he loved it. He says he had to sit down when they started stitching because his tummy felt a little funny. But he thought it was really cool and would tell you all about it if you asked him.
It was a nice day, despite three gnarly stitches in Bryan's finger. Love my family of boys!
