Some of Lately.

A few pictures and snippets from life over the last few weeks:

Rich boys holding hands, keeping together as we walk to the night glow balloon lighting.
It was wonderful to spend time together with family! However the balloon lighting was rather lame. Nothing beats seeing them fly right over your house and street. Or seeing three land in the school yard like Bryan and Oscar saw one morning.

I love waving to these guys in the morning. It is so sweet  to see them on their bikes and all geared up for work and school together. I always watch them ride until I can't see them anymore. My favorite parts are that Oscar waves to me from our house all the way to the stop sign, and watching both of them simultaneously hand signal when they turn left off of our street. So awesome.

We were lucky to have cousin Owen come play one afternoon. He is seriously one of the boys FAVORITE people. They always ask to play with Owen. They even love the way his clothes smell. Anytime we get a hand-me- down from the Erickson boys, my kids smell the clothes and say, "oh, it smells like Owen. Yum."

Oops. Angus got mad and is stomping away. He recovered, and returned to join the play.

Angus ate dinner naked, well he basically spend the whole evening naked. The boys have been crazily building and playing bionicles and hero factory too.

We were able to catch a frog from Nana and Papa's house. We brought him home, played with him for an evening and then let him go in the yard. We have not seen him again, but feel good knowing he is free. Last year we caught quite a few frogs, and unfortunately killed one to many as well. We did not want to repeat that this year, so a free frog he is.

Oscar is playing Rec soccer again this season, and Bryan is coaching again. So far our games have been tough, our butts are kicked brutally. But Oscar, and the majority of the other boys on the team, are working really hard on the field regardless. Oscar and Angus love to play soccer games as a family in the evening before bed. Tonight we combined soccer and freeze tag, two of their favorites. It was really fun.

Life certainly is not perfect. Nothing ever is, but gosh it is still sooo good.
Love these people.
