Mid August on Cascade Lake.

The Cabin is a special place for us.
I have so many memories from my childhood there.
Now my children are making memories too.
We are always glad when we get to head up the mountain.
Rarely are we ready to head home when the time comes.
Here are some more pictures from our mid August trip.
It was me, the boys, my Mom and brother Sam.
We had a wonderful time, as usual.

4th of July trip: Cabin edition.

The awesome: Being at the cabin. The view. Swimming in the lake. Sitting on the dock in the hot sunshine. Eating. Eating. Eating. Running in the cool mornings next to cow pastures, and the view of the mountains. One crazy storm. Spending time together. Fresh pine-scented breezes. Foot rub. Beauty all around. Helpful Mom, sister and brother who put up with me and love my kids.

The less-than-awesome: Mosquito bites covering my kids. No power or water for a day and a half (Crazy storm, with monstrous winds knocked tons of trees and power lines over). Spraining my finger while walking up the stairs. Yup, my finger while walking up stairs, and yes, I know I am talented. One slightly sleepless child. One case of the crankies...fine it was me. Bryan feeling so ill, he nearly spent the whole time in bed.

Ahh, we love time at the cabin. Can't wait to go again in August.
