I really enjoyed coloring with you today in your Star Wars coloring book, and talking about Jabba the Hut and General Grievous. You asked me to cut out about 7 pictures we had colored. It reminded me of the times you had me do the same thing with the national geographic coloring book, ice age coloring book, dinosaur coloring book, and Daddy's monster creations. I am becoming a super proficient "cutter-outer," and you never fail to commend me on my scissor using abilities.
It was so much fun to hang out with the two of you on the front porch after Angus woke up from his nap. We shared a bowl of pistachios and ate apples with cheese while we read about the Montser ABC's.
I think the best part of the day for both of you was playing for an hour in the front puddle. It was huge thanks to all the rain we have had the last couple days. Watching you chase one another back and forth through the puddle a million times was great entertainment for the three of us, and the neighbors too. Your clothes were soaked, and your rain boots were full of grimy dirty water, but you were both loving it. At one point you ditched the boots and ran around in your socks. Those white socks quickly turned black. Although when you started using your rain boots as buckets, filling them up with water to pour out on each others heads...I had to end the fun. I stripped you boys down and threw you in the warm tub where you both continued to play so happily together.
Oscar, after you had your jammie's on you began to stuff your shirt with select T-rex's, and stuff your left pant leg full of all the magnetic ABC's. I even think there was a spare pare of undies shoved into your waistband. Angus, you chased him around the house trying to hit something loose.
