DEINONYCHUS, dei·non·y·chus, dī-ˈnä-ni-kəs: any of a genus (Deinonychus) of small bipedal carnivorous theropod dinosaurs from the Cretaceous having a very large sharp claw on the second digit of both hind feet.
I have had two of these feisty beasts running amok in my house lately.
Notice the large claw on these two small bipedal carniverous theropods?
