Okay.
So.
I feel I need to make an adjustment to a statement I made in my most previous blog post. Remember the one about my children being "perfectly kissable all the time?"
Yeah, about that statement,
I lied a little bit.
Here is why:
When one of your children (Angus in this scenario) chooses to go on a 4 hour screaming binge between the hours of 1'o'clock AM and 5 'o' clock AM for NO apparent reason, the last thing you will want to do is kiss him.
When you try to console him in all ways you can think of(including giving him a hug and kiss as an early attempt to calm him), but still he chooses to scream at the top of his lungs and wake every living creature in the house up, he is most definitely NOT perfectly kissable during that time. Nope.
I could sure think of a lot of things a wanted to do to him during those hours, and kissing him was not one of them.
*** Last night Angus slept like a dream from 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM. I believe the amount of sugar he consumed to be the major culprit for the difference in his sleep. On Friday he ate WAY too much sugar all day, and ate sugar close to bedtime. That is the night we had a screaming banshee in our house. On Saturday we did not let him eat any sugar all day long. That night he, and we, slept peacefully.

Isn't it crazy what sugar does to kids? Try telling my father-in-law that, however; he just tries to sneak it to my kids CONSTANTLY while I'm not looking. Grrrr.
