Birthday Tribute to Rae Rae.

I wanted to send a big Happy Birthday post to my big sister Rachael.


She is a gem, and I love her dearly. You can't not like Rachael, because she is basically the nicest person on the planet. If you know her, then you definitely know what I mean.


She is always giving. Giving of her time to listen to me when I am having a bad day, or need reassurance about this crazy thing called motherhood. Giving of her professional nurse extraordinaire advice whenever I have a health question regarding myself or my kids. Giving of presents, for reals, it seems like anytime I see her she has some fabulous treasure to impart to any one of us.


She is a HARD-worker, and she is dang good at what she does. I know that everyone who has had Rachael take care of them, or their newborn, on the mother baby floor would agree. I am often told what a fabulous, knowledgeable, and caring nurse she is, and all of it is true. She works long nights, and then pulls long days as a wonderful and loving momma to her 3 boys.


Rachael has the most beautiful handwriting. So nice, that even if she were to write you a card containing only the most foul of swear words (which of course she wouldn't because she is so kind) you would still want to frame it and put it on your wall, just because the penmanship is so exquisite.


But most of all for me, Rachael is the greatest, truest big sister I could ever ask for. I look up to her now, and looked up to her all the years I grew up. She was always patient with me, would let me pal around with her and her totally awesome high school friends, and she even liked to floss my teeth and pick my zits. (What? Was that to much information? Well, sorry we are sisters and sisterly love is a beautiful thing, so if you think it's gross then get over it!).



Anyway, I hope you have a nice birthday and are at least reminded of how loved and adored to really are.
