2011 Catch up: Fall Soccer

I can't move on to posting about 2012 until I have posted some of the items I missed in 2011.

Oscar played soccer this Fall and he had a great time. He said he had fun after every game, so the season was a success! We were the coaches this year and were sort of nervous at first. Neither one of us had played soccer in years. BUT...we had a really fun time coaching the 5 year olds on our team. It turned out to be a lot less pressure than we were anticipating. The best part for us was that we got to play soccer with our own kids as well as the other cute boys on our team. It was a great experience for all four of us, and we hope it was a fun and non-competitive experience for our team members as well.

Soccer Boys

Oscar started soccer this past Saturday. He is in the PAKS (parents and kids in soccer) program through Idaho Rush. We have been enjoying playing soccer with both boys in the evenings. They have so much fun, and so do we!

Side-note: Bryan stopped by a garage sale a couple weeks ago and snagged two huge boxes FULL of soccer stuff. There were like 20 pairs of cleats, 12 shin guards, and 2 pairs of goalie gloves, all in varying children sizes. The best part it that there were two sets of mini shin-guards perfect for the boys. I sure hope they like soccer, because we are now set for life with soccer gear!
