Today I am grateful for...
... a ten minute cat nap on the warm grass, in the warm sun, on a 70 degree day in November while listening to my boys make mud soup together in the garden dirt.
...no complaints at dinner.
...the weight of a sleeping baby on my chest.
...open windows in November.
Random Angus related tidbits from our week thus far...
I cleaned out the freezer on Monday and found a ham hock. So yesterday I decided to boil it and make ham and lentil soup for dinner. About and hour into boiling the ham bone Angus comes running into my room completely distraught. With grimaced face and in a high pitched whiny squeal he said, "Mom! What on earth is that AWFUL smell?" As we walked through the house we realized the smell he was referring too was the soup I was prepping on the stove top, and I had to agree with him. It smelled completely awful. So awful I turned off the stove, opened every window to air the house out, and made a new plan for dinner that night.
Oscar was calling for Angus to come and help him gather pieces to build a new Bionicle. Angus responded to his request by crawling towards him and in a sing songy voice answering, "coming dear!"
