4th of July in Cedar City.

So. Two months ago, for the fourth of July (it makes me cry a little inside that the 4th was already two months ago) we went down to Cedar City, Utah with Bryan's Mom. Cora, Bryan's sister's daughter, was getting baptized so we went down to celebrate with them.

One of our first days there, we spent the morning at a really nice park. It had a refreshingly cool creek running through the middle of it. We had a big water fight, and enjoyed wading in the water. This park was back dropped by the gorgeous red-rocks (well they are actually pretty orange-y colored) of southern Utah.

Some pictures of the water "fight."
I waded with them too, I promise.

Another day, we drove up to a scenic hiking area called Cedar Breaks. It was really beautiful! Unfortunately it started raining just as we arrived and the trail was super muddy. Coupled with the fact that we went during nap time, we did not make it very far on the hike. But we did enjoy what we saw, and were grateful that no one fell over the edge. There were some really freaky un-railed portions of the trail.
Butler family (Bryan's older sister Angie and her fam)

I love these following two pictures of our family.
These boys are my life.

Thanks Butler family for having us! It was fun to spend some time with you in your neck of the woods. Thanks for the yummy food, fun and for overlooking our late night family screaming episode.
