Julia's all Thai'd up.

I can't believe I have not posted anything about Julia leaving on her grand adventure to Thailand! How lame could I be, really?!


Well she left. A few weeks ago actually. We miss her tons. Tons and tons. BUT, what an opportunity this is for her! Two years teaching 1st grade to little Thai youngsters. This is just what she has been waiting for!


She has endured a 28 hour flight, loads of sightseeing, waves of homesickness, stress, excitement, confusion, skype communication, and plenty of other emotions and situations that she could better describe herself.


She has made it, I am sure quite gracefully, through the first two days of teaching school. As a matter of fact, she is probably just into her third morning of teaching as I write these words. I hope this day of educating is an encouraging one for her.


Oscar can often be heard talking about how, "Thailand is six mountains away," or "Thailand is just past the red barn, we need to find the red barn Mom." He misses her too.


We love you Lula, and hope you can feel our love from far away. We send it to the stars each night that we see them, and hope they are delivering our message to you. So keep checking up at the stars in the night sky for us, k?


You are one of my closest friends, and such a special sister to me. I love you.
